Six Board Slots Up for Election during National Summit

first_img Dan Cohen AUTHOR ADC members will have an opportunity to vote on two new candidates to the association’s board of directors during the annual business meeting at next month’s 2018 Defense Communities National Summit in Washington, D.C. A total of six positions on the 15-member board are up for election this year, with four members nominated to a second term.The two new candidates for the board are:Greg Doyon, city manager, Great Falls, Mont., and member of the executive board, Montana Defense Alliance; andJohn Nerger, senior military advisor, Huntsville Madison County Chamber of Commerce.If elected, each would serve a three-year term.Four current board members are nominated to serve a second term:Celeste Boccieri-Werner, vice president & director of federal planning, Matrix Design Group;Russell DeSalvo III, president & CEO, PuebloPlex (Pueblo Depot Activity Development Authority);Joe Driskill, Missouri military advocate, Missouri Department of Economic Development; andBob Ross, executive director, Connecticut Office of Military Affairs.If elected, each would serve a three-year term.The slate of nominees was selected through a process that began in late 2017 and was led by ADC Past President Mike Cooper.  The slate will be considered at the association’s annual membership meeting on Tuesday, June 19 from 7:30-8:30 a.m.More information on the nominees can be found on the ADC website.last_img
