The Public Prosecution Service has appointed Lisa Johnston a Crown attorney in the Sydney office. Martin Herschorn, director of public prosecutions, announced the appointment today, July 16. “Ms. Johnston has experience in criminal law and will be a valuable addition to the Public Prosecution Service,” said Mr. Herschorn. “We are pleased to have her join our team of Crown attorneys.” A native of North Sydney, Ms. Johnston graduated in 2007 from Cape Breton University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a Certificate in Public Administration. She was a dean’s list student while at the university. Ms. Johnston graduated from Dalhousie University Law School in 2010. She articled with Lorway MacEachern Barristers and Solicitors in Sydney and, in 2011, was appointed an associate, practicing general law including criminal, family and estate law. Ms. Johnston is a glider pilot and an officer with the 562 Cabot Squadron Air Cadets in North Sydney. She is a member of the Library Committee of the Cape Breton Barristers’ Society.
