(Photo by Mike Comer/Getty Images)Clemson has taken care of business through the first month of the season, winning all five games. However, the Tigers haven’t always looked impressive. Most notably, Clemson came within a couple of plays of losing to UNC on Saturday. By stopping a two-point conversion and an onside kick in the final minute, the Tigers were able to get out of Chapel Hill with a 21-20 victory. The near-miss was enough for Dabo Swinney’s team to drop out of the top spot in both polls, and several pundits have said Clemson should have dropped further. At least one ESPN expert doesn’t think the defending national champions are a lock for the College Football Playoff.ESPN has released its newest bowl projections for the Tigers. While one analyst thinks Clemson gets back to the CFP, another is pegging them to fall short. Kyle Bonagura: Clemson vs. Oklahoma, College Football Playoff at the Fiesta Bowl on Dec. 28.Mark Schlabach: Clemson vs. Notre Dame, Capital One Orange Bowl on Dec. 30.Without question, Clemson will be favored in every remaining game. The ACC is weak, and on paper, there really isn’t a team on their schedule that can beat them.To put it simply, if Clemson winds up going 13-0 and winning the ACC, they will be playoff-bound. It doesn’t matter how many style points they accumulate along the way.You can view ESPN’s full bowl projections here.
